James Turner Fuqua

Reidsville – James Turner Fuqua, 90, of Turners Care Home, died Tuesday, October 28, 2008, at Avante at Reidsville. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 31, 2008, at Wilkerson Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Danview Cemetery in Eden. James was born in Rockingham County to the late William Sharp Fuqua and Doshie Lawrence Fuqua. He retired from Fieldcrest and was preceded in death by his wife, Clemmie Fuqua; brothers, Ofurl Fuqua, John “Jack” Fuqua; sisters, Louise McMillion and Myrtle Giles. He is survived by a brother, Russell Overby, Jr.; sisters, Frances Hill, Joy Martin, all of Reidsville, Irene Evans of Pelham; numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and at other times at the home of a niece, Betty Brooks, 476 Ashland Road.
