James Garner

Reidsville: James Garner, 57, of 3414 Grooms Rd., passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2016, at home. There will be a visitation for family and friends on Thursday, April 14, 2016, from 5-7 P.M., at Wilkerson Funeral and other times at the home, 3414 Grooms Rd. James was born on May 10, 1958, in Rockingham County, to the late J.D. and Doris Toler Garner. He grew up in Rockingham County. He was a good hearted person who enjoyed helping others if he could. He liked to listen to music and dance. He loved animals, especially his dog, Cody. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Garner. Survivors include his brother, John Garner and wife Tammy; his friend, James Pratt; his step father, Ray Norman; his dog, Cody, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
