James Willis Harville, Jr.

James Willis Harville, Jr., 79, of Browns Summit went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, February 10, 2024.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at Osceola Baptist Church with Pastor Randall Shaw officiating. Burial will follow at Osceola Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and other times at the home. 

James was born in Danville, VA to the late James Willis and Geneva Scott Harville, Sr., and was a very loving father and husband. He installed insulation for over 40 years and served in the United States Navy. He was a member of Osceola Baptist Church and loved to fish, garden and spend time with his two dogs.

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his daughter, Angela Jo Harville and brother, Joey Geron Harviille, Sr.. He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Janet Harville; sister, Teresa Harville Whitt (Tim); nephew, Austin Whitt (Bridget); great nieces, Trinity & Bentley Whitt; nephew, Jonathan Harville, Sr. (Kelly); great-nephew, Jonathan Harville, Jr.; great-niece, Amanda Harville; nephew, Joey G. Harville, Jr. & fiance, Mercedes Clifton and daughter, Fresquez Clifton and great-niece, Shelby Harville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the building fund at Osceola Baptist Church, 7711 NC-150, Browns Summit, NC 27214, c/o Brenda Brown.
