James Howard Knighten

James Howard Knighten, Jr., 77, of Reidsville went home to be with The Lord Friday June 21, 2024, at Annie Penn Hospital. 

Howard was born in Rockingham County and was the son of the late Ruth and James Knighten. He lived in Tennessee for over 35 years and retired from The Grand Ole' Opry Hotel. He loved the mountains and country music. Howard was always kind and generous and will be greatly missed by many. Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister Wanda Sue Knighten; and brother William Knighten.

Howard is survived by his wife Doris Knighten; his sister Vilma Woods and extended family. 

There will be no formal services at this time.
