James Howard Martin

Reidsville – Mr. James Howard Martin, 77, of 839 NC Hwy 87, died Thursday, October 22, 2009 at the Hospice Home of Rockingham County.A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, October 24, 2009 at Thompsonville Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Charles Vaughan officiating. Mr. Martin was born January 22, 1932 to the late Stafford and Annie Martin. He was a retired mechanic and a life long resident of Rockingham County. Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Roberson Martin.Survivors include his sisters, Thelma Hubbard and husband, Stanley of Taylorsville, NC and Sylvia Evans and husband, Bill of Reidsville, NC; his brothers, Roy Martin and wife, Edna and Troy Martin and wife, Doris all of Reidsville and Bill Martin and wife, Tyra of Summerfield, NC and thirteen nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Sunday, October 23 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM and other times at Roy and Edna Martin’s home (2315 Westover Drive). The family wishes to thank the staff and caregivers of Hospice for the professional care given to James and his family.
