James Carter Needham

Reidsville – James “Carter” Needham, Jr., 51, of 155 Durham’s Trail, died on Friday, July 3, 2009 at Moses Cone Hospital.There will be no formal funeral services, but the family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Monday, July 6 from 7:00 – 9:00 PM. Other times the family will be at the residence. Mr. Needham was born in Rockingham County to the late James Carter Needham, Sr. and Edith Joyce Needham Chattin. He attended the Christian Fellowship Church and was a loving and devoted husband and father. Carter was an avid golfer and weight lifter. After graduating from Reidsville High School in 1976, he attended RCC and was employed by RF Micro Devices in Greensboro. Survivors include his wife, Cathy Richardson Needham of the home; son, James Carter Needham, III and daughter, Niki Ann Needham, also of the home; brothers, Bruce Needham and wife, Texie of Reidsville, and Timothy Needham of Carson City, Nevada; sister, Robin Needham Hanson and husband, Ken of Stoneville; special friend, Tim Bray; numerous nieces and nephews and extended family. Memorial contributions may be made to Christian Fellowship Church, 737 ½ Madison Street, Reidsville, NC.
