James Allen Perdue

James Allen “Hollerhead” Perdue, 55, of Westover Drive, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family and friends on Monday, December 17, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, December 21, 2018 at Wilkerson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Reidlawn Cemetery with Rev. Tommy Massey officiating. The family will receive friends at Wilkerson from 6-8 PM on Thursday, December 20, 2018. James was born in Rockingham County to James Vernon Perdue and raised by his mother, Lelia “Skeeter” Arthur. He spent 25 years as a bouncer for Lera’s Baile Mexicano, 10 years as a groundskeeper for Reidlawn Cemetery and over 30 years as a Class A Lead Lineman with multiple utility companies. He loved the Miami Dolphins, Reidsville football, Tar Heel sports and watching thunderstorms from the porch. He will be missed by his “four legged critters” Emma Sue, Rocky, Roxie, Dixie Doo and Zeus “Pup Pup”. Most of all he loved his wife, children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by an infant child; father in law, Hillman Jones and his beloved dog Buddy. He is survived by his wife of 19 years Shana Jones Perdue; mother, Lelia Arthur; mother in law, Jenell Jones; children, Amber Busick (Josh), Danielle Perdue, Justin Isley (Jordan), Ashleigh Zirpolo (Chris), Zach Perdue (Onnie) and Summer Perdue; grandchildren, Dallas, Bentley, Rylee, Acelynn, Cooper and Cason; siblings, Donnie Perdue and Toni Ferrell as well as a large extended family.
