James Edward Spencer

Reidsville:     James Edward Spencer,  65, of 211 Narrow Gauge Road, passed away on Friday, April 4, 2008. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM, Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at Evergreen Memory Gardens with Military Graveside Rites. James was born in Rockingham County and   was a member of College Park Baptist Church and a veteran of the US Navy and   served in Vietnam.   He retired from Equity Meats and loved hunting and spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Janice Spencer; sons, Stephen Spencer, Mike Roberson and Shawn Roberson; daughters, Shannon Wilson, Robin Martin and Dawn Spencer; nine grandchildren; mother, Katherine Wilson; brothers, Rod and Bob Spencer, Rick, Sam, Dan and Jerry Wilson; sisters, Shirley Morrison, Bonnie Boswell, Debra Fain, Ruby Lee Tate and Yvonne Plyler.
