James Albert Taylor

Reidsville - James Albert Taylor, 79, of 222 Speedway Drive, passed away Monday, July 25, 2011 at Annie Penn Hospital.Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, July 29, 2011 at Wilkerson Funeral Home and the burial will follow at Evergreen Memory Gardens with Pastor Doug Bray officiating.Mr. Taylor was born in Pitt County, NC and was the son of the late Rob and Mary Hutson. He was a faithful and hardworking mechanic and was retired from Guilford County Schools. He loved WWF wrestling and westerns and was an avid fisherman. His family could almost hear him say his favorite saying "dad dim" when he missed the big one! Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Ruby Jean Kendrick.Mr. Taylor is survived by his wife, Shirley Kendrick Taylor of the home; his daughters, Deborah Brady, Carol Lovelace and Janet McMillion and Ricky Slate all of Gibsonville; his son, David Kendrick and wife, Jennifer of Climax; grandchildren, Chris McBride, Taylor McMillion, Hannah, Donna Gail and Jimmy Kendrick; great granddaughter, Kaitlyn McBride; and the mother of his children, Eloise Taylor of Gibsonville.The family will receive friends Thursday, July 28 at Wilkerson Funeral Home from 7:00 - 9:00 PM and other times at the home.Condolences may be sent to the family at www.wilkersonfuneral.com
