James Greenway Williams

Reidsville: James Greenway “Top-Not” Williams, 43, of 914 Lindsey Street, died Sunday, February 27 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 2 at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel and the burial will follow in Greenview Cemetery. James was born in Rockingham County to the late Mack and Mary Southard Williams. He was of the Baptist faith and loved going to church. He was happy-go-lucky and never met a stranger. He was blessed with lots of friends. He sang with the Celebration Singers. Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Richard Williams. James is survived by his brothers and sisters, Mack Williams, Jr. and wife, Hope of Winston-Salem, Mary Cochran of Reidsville, Amelia Williams of Eden, Steve “Buck” Williams and wife, Joan of Burlington, Linda Padron and fiance’, Thomas Doss of Reidsville, Kathy Finney and husband, Norman of Reidsville, Patricia Williams of Martinsville, Tammy Jawaid of Reidsville, Timmy Williams and wife, Jana and Kim Medellin of Reidsville; aunts, Gracie Stanley and husband, James and Judy Cannon and husband, Cecil all of Reidsville; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Tuesday, 7-9:00 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at the home of Kathy and Norman Finney (1715 Pecan Road, Reidsville).
