Reidsville – Janet Whitaker Cheshire, 39, of 7570 Hwy 158 West, died Tuesday, June 30, 2009, at Wesley Long Community Hospital.Graveside funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, July 3, 2009 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. Dale Thomas officiating. Janet was born in Guilford County. She was formerly employed with Yates Construction and Algood Construction. She was of the Baptist faith and was a loving daughter, mother and friend. Janet will be missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, James Whitaker and her grand father, Willie Wright.She is survived by her sons, John Cheshire, Jr. and Justin Cheshire both of the home; mother, Joyce Wray and husband, Paul of Reidsville; sister, Sherry Hefner and husband, Rod of Reidsville; brother, Jimmy Whitaker and wife, Leslie of Greensboro; maternal grandmother, Katherine Shelton and husband, Wesley of Danville, VA; step sister, Melissa Brown and husband, B.J. of Reidsville; niece Amber Wray and husband, Jason: nephews, Michael and Austin Whitaker; great niece, Brooklyn and special friend, Ty Oldham of Greensboro.The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Thursday, July 2, 2009 from 7-9 PM and other times at the home (7570 NC Hwy 158 West).
