Janie Dancy

Reidsville: Frances Jane “Janie” Dancy, 75, of Reidsville, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 15, 2019. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at Reidlawn Cemetery with Rev. Shannon Newsome officiating. The family will receive friends other times at the home of her daughter Angela Dancy Knutson at 219 McCoy Rd. Janie was born in Rockingham County to the late James Noah Marlow and Adell Bernice Loftis Marlow. She worked with ZARN plastics for over 30 years and retired after 10 years of service with White Ridge Plastics. She loved gardenias, Blowing Rock, relaxing on the front porch and watching the cooking channel. She was a wonderful cook. She was famous for her Macaroni and Cheese as well as her Potato Salad. Most of all she loved her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, John C. Dancy; children, John C. Dancy II and Angela Dancy Knutson (Keith); grandchildren, Matthew and Makayla Dancy as well as Nicholas Knutson; siblings, Jim “Jimmy” Marlowe (Linda), Bernice Marlow Jones (Harold) as well as a large extended family. The family would like to add a special thanks to Ronnie Tate and Laura Pleasant for their special care and concern during a difficult time for our family.
