Jasper Roy Minor

Reidsville: Jasper Roy Minor, 74, of 8069 Cherry Grove Road passed away on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at Annie Penn Hospital. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, September 10, 2018 at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Rev. Allen Myers officiating. The interment will follow in Reidlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at his home. Jasper was born in Rockingham County to the late, Jasper Thomas and Bertha Wall Minor. Jasper previously was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. He retired from Glenn Raven Mills and enjoyed working on old cars. Along with his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife, Lois Minor. He is survived by his son, Roy Thomas Minor and fiancé, Brittany Gray; step son, Frank Smithey; step daughter, Cathy Long; grandchildren, Christopher Minor, Tabitha Smithey, Jules Long and Tristan Long; two great grandchildren; brothers, Harold Minor, Clyde Minor and Robert Wall; sisters, Billie Smith, Alice Faye Burgess and Rebecca Ann Minor; and a large extended family.
