Jean Hodges Waller

Reidsville: Jean Hodges Waller, 70 of 105 Longview Avenue, Danville. Our loving Mother went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, October 8, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, October 12 at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Pastor Robby Powell and Brother Bobby Hodges officiating. Burial will follow in Greenview Cemetery. There will be a benefit in Jeans honor on Saturday, October 11 from 1- 7:00 PM at Unity Baptist Church, 3370 US Highway 158, Reidsville. Jean was born in Rockingham County to the late Robert Lee Hodges and Ethel May Rankins Hodges. She was a member of Williams Memorial Church of Reidsville and did an exceptional job of taking care of her disabled son, Timmy. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James Thomas Waller; sisters, Mamie Dove and Goldie Dunaway. She is survived by her children, India Powell Collins and husband, Shawn of Danville, Robby Powell and wife, Shannon of Reidsville, Timmy Lee Powell of Danville; grandchildren, Anthony Thomas Mangum, Christina Nicole Collins, Sierra Brummett, Brooke and Bradley Parker, Blaze Crouch, Adam Collins and Riley Harn; brother, Bobby Lee Hodges, Jr.; sister, Roberta Clifton; special nieces, Tammy Starratt, Reginia Laws and Susan Harrison. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 10th from 7:00 – 9:00 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at the home of Robby Powell, 181 College Lane, and Bobby Hodges, 251 Thomas Trail, both in Reidsville.
