Jean Trent Williams

Reidsville- Mrs. Jean Trent Williams, 87, of Reidsville, passed away on January 8th, 2018. A graveside funeral service will be conducted at two o’clock on Monday, January 15th, 2018 at Reidlawn Cemetery. Rev. Joe Tarpley and Rev. John Burton will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1until 1:45 PM at the funeral home. Mrs. Williams was born on May 10th, 1930 in Rockingham County to the late Leonard L. Trent and Janie Page Trent. She graduated from Woman’s College in Greensboro. Jean was a long time member of Main Street United Methodist Church where she was a member of the chancel choir. She was an avid reader and resource for all current political events. Jean contributed to the Rockingham County Literacy program through the library, assisting adults learning to read. Survivors include, her son, Dave Williams and wife, Vicki of Silverdale, Washington; two daughters, Ann W. Hauser and husband, Mark of Burlington; Susan W. Buckner and husband, Kevin of Belews Creek; grandchildren, Catherine Mills and husband, Patrick; Rebecca Hurdle and husband, Robbie; Erin Williams; great-grandchildren, Madison Mills, Trent Mills and Ann Elizabeth Hurdle; one sister, Jane Fagan; and one niece, Janie Kendrick.
