Jerry Jene Jackson

Reidsville- Mr. Jerry Jene Jackson, 76, of 685 Narrow Gauge Rd., passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2014, at home. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, December 22, 2014, at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Pastor Wayne Robertson officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memory Gardens. Mr. Jackson was born on March 2, 1938, in Rockingham County to the late Carl Brackett and Eleanor Adkins Jackson. He was owner and operator of Jackson Trailer Park. He retired from Adams Electric after 30 years and loved to do yard work on his tractors. He was a very kind and generous person. Jerry was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. Along with his parents, Mr. Jackson was preceded in death by his a son, Jon Russell Jackson. Survivors include his wife Glenna Saunders Jackson; his children, Jamie Quinn Jackson and girlfriend Tina Lovelace, Greta Jackson Stephens and husband David Dwayne and Abra Jackson Tucker and fiancé Fredrick T. Thornton; his grandchildren, Jessica Jackson, Jon Russell Jenkins and wife Pam, Jeffrey Jenkins, Joshua Edwards, Justin Jackson, Kyle Edwards, Matthew Tucker, Mason Tucker, Samantha and Logan Stephens; his great grandchildren, Montana Jenkins, Hunter Jenkins, Kamiya Jackson and Donald Noble, Jr.; his brother, Joel Jackson and wife Bonnie and his niece and nephew, Jill Jackson and Brackett Jackson. The family would like to express a special thank you to all of the staff of Hospice of Rockingham County for their help and support. The family will receive friends on Monday, December 22, 2014, from 6-8 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
