Jerry Michael Kennon

Reidsville: Jerry Michael Kennon passed away Thursday evening, March 5, 2015 at his home. Funeral services will be held at Canaanland Baptist Church on Saturday, March 7, 2015 AT 3:00 PM with Pastor Jason Sigmon officiating. Burial will take place following the service at Greenview Cemetery in Reidsville. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the church from 2:00 PM till 3:00 PM. Mike was born on December 24, 1959, in Rockingham County to George William Kennon and the late JoAnn Campbell Lewellyn. Mike was a vital member and deacon of Canaanland Baptist Church. He was a “Jack of all Trades” and a dedicated and hard worker. He experienced a lot of life experiences which made him a very tender-hearted, caring, and humble spirit. He loved his Lord, his wife, his children, and his animals. Survivors include his wife, Michelle; his sons: Jerry Michael Kennon, Jr. and Justin Holland; daughter, Melissa Jean Kennon, and one grandchild, Dakota Hanks; brothers, Carson Shoemaker, Jr. and George William Kennon, Jr.; and sisters: Jamie Bennett and husband Mike, Alice Myott, Ruby Hodges,and Donna Keen and husband Timmy. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday, March 7, 2015 and other times at the home.
