Reidsville -Jerry Wayne Martin, Sr. 63, of 211 Glass Road, died on Monday, December 19, 2011 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M, Friday, December 23, 2011 at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jason Reid officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memory Gardens.Mr. Martin was born in Rockingham County to the late Robert E. and Ruby Denny Martin. He was retired from The American Tobacco Company and was a member of Baptist Temple Church. Mr. Martin was a member of Wolf Creek Golf Club and loved fishing and hunting. He is survived by his wife, Janice Murphy Martin, of the residence; son, Marty Martin and wife, Rebecca, 2 granddaughters, Tori Martin and Rylee Martin; brothers, Bobby Martin and wife, Carol and Danny Martin and wife, Teresa; special brothers-in-law, Larry Murphy and Norris Murphy; special sisters-in-law, Zandra Taylor and Inez Waycaster.The family will receive friends Thursday, December 22, 2011 at Wilkerson Funeral Home from 6 to 8 PM and other times at the residence.
