Jessica Marie Nance “née Gabby”, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and cherished member of an extended family, peacefully departed this world on February 27, 2024, at the age of 43.
A funeral service to celebrate Jessica's life will be held at Wilkerson Funeral Home in Reidsville on March 9th, 2024, at 2:00 PM. May her soul rest in eternal peace, and may her memory live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
She was born on February 2, 1981, and her life was a testament to love, compassion, and strength. Jessica's enduring love and companionship were shared with her devoted husband, Dwayne Adam Nance. Together, they created a partnership filled with laughter, support, and unwavering commitment that served as a beacon of inspiration for all who knew them.
As a mother, Jessica was the heart and soul of her family. Her children, Tori Austin, Stephanie (Daniel) Winters, Timothy Overby and Robin (Jerry) Alford were her greatest joy. She approached motherhood with boundless patience, kindness, and unconditional love, leaving behind not only cherished memories but also a legacy of compassion and resilience that will endure through the generations. Jessica embraced the role of grandmother with unparalleled joy and enthusiasm. Her love for her grandchildren, Effie and Gunnar Austin, Daxon and Freya Gaumond, Waylon, Matthew and Jessie Alford was palpable, creating a bond that will forever be remembered with warmth and affection.
Jessica was the dearest daughter of Debbie and Jason Overby, and her memory will forever be engraved in the hearts of her family members. She was a niece of Steve Ruback, Tom (Jane) Ruback, and Tracey Cordova, and her presence in their lives brought immeasurable joy and love. In addition to her roles as a wife and mother, Jessica was a beloved sister to Selma Beville, April Fisher, Niko and Tierra Williams, Joseph Gabby and Alex Bentley. Cherished cousin to many. Her family was the cornerstone of her life, and she leaves behind a legacy of love and unity that will continue to inspire those who knew her.
