Reidsville - Jimmie Arnold Biggs, 76, of 196 Jarrell Road, passed away on Friday, August 26, 2011 at Moses Cone Hospital.A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, August 29, 2011 at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sandy Brown officiating. Entombment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.Mr. Biggs was born on September 22, 1934 in Rockingham County to the late Moses Lester and Ellen Taylor Biggs. He was of the Christian faith and attended Bibleway Community Church. Jimmie enjoyed all types of sports, especially Nascar racing, football and fishing. He was an animal lover that loved his beloved "Goodyear". He loved to live life to the fullest but most of all he loved his family. Along with his parents he was also preceded in death by his brothers, Fredrick Biggs and Jack Biggs.Jimmie is survived by his loving wife, Betty Scott Biggs of the home; son, Jimmy D. Biggs of Reidsville; grandson, Jesse D. Biggs and wife, Leann of Trenton, NC; and sister, Barnita Bibee and husband, Wendell of Eden.The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Sunday August 28, 2011 and other times at the home.The family request that memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Biggs' honor to Bibleway Community Church, 3870 Vance Street Ext., Reidsville, NC 27320.
