Reidsville- Jimmy Wayne Price, 62, of 201 Woodlyn Dr., went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at Hospice Home of Rockingham County.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at Covington Wesleyan Church with Rev. Ralph Clayton officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
Jimmy was born in Rockingham County to the late Wallace Reid and Doris Gammon Price. He was a retiree of Duke Energy with 35 years service and a member of Covington Wesleyan Church. To those who knew Jimmy he was a very special person and touched many lives.
Survivors include his faithful wife, Wanda Vernon Price; children, Wesley Price and wife, Kellie, Jessica Price and Katelyn Brooks; step son, Ryan Jefferys and wife, Ashton; step daughter,
Mandy Brooks; grandchildren, Kassidi Price and Jacobi Brooks; sister, Linda A. Price; brothers, Ronnie Price and Larry “Buncie” Price and wife, Nancy; mother-in-law, Ren Vernon; special aunt, Hazel French and many special nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at the home.
The family wishes to thank all the extended family, church family and friends also Dr. Powell and the staff at Wake Forest and Duke Bone Marrow Clinic and staff for all the support and care given to them and Jimmy during his illness.
