Jimmy Lee Sutton

Mr. Jimmy “Jim” Lee Sutton, Sr., born on July 25, 1938 in Summerfield, North Carolina, to the late Millie Sutton and the late John Sutton, passed away at age 80 on September 11, 2018 in Mechanicsville, Virginia. Jim was the loving husband of and is survived by his wife of 56 years, Irene (Mackie) Sutton. Jim served in the Marine Corps from 1958 to 1962 in the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War. He was preceded in death by his brother, Johnny Sutton; and sisters, Marylina Russell, Elizabeth Edgington, and Eva Jugo. Jim is survived by his son, Jimmy Sutton Jr; daughters, Bennie Sutton Fiol, Ginger Sutton Keeter, and Ann Sutton Donovan; and nine grandchildren, Tyler, AJ, Conner, Cheyenne, Christina, JT, Autumn, Nolan, and Hannah. Jim enjoyed playing golf, pidling around the house, finding dead end roads, Sunday drives, being the best dad and husband in the world. He also served as a previous Exalted Ruler of Elks Lodge in Martinsville, VA. Jim spent his last 20 years residing in Myrtle Beach, SC. Friends and family members may attend the graveside service on September 29th 1:30 P.M. at Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery, 2531 Flat Rock Road, Reidsville, NC.
