Joey David Walker

Joey David Walker, 21, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 21, 2022.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00PM on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at Lakeview Memorial Park in Greensboro with Pastor Jason Sharpe officiating. The family will receive friends Monday evening, January 31, 2022, from 5:00-7:00PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home.

Joey was born on January 17, 2001, to Angie and Jeff Walker in Greensboro, NC. He went to school at McMichael and then graduated from Rockingham Community College, High School Program. Joey enjoyed outdoor sports with his family, especially water sports. He loved spending time with his family at the beach, lake, and mountains. Joey will be remembered for his ambition in life and his big heart. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Robert Clay Walker, Sr. and Dora Stone Walker uncle, Dale Southern Jr.; maternal great-grandparents, Drewey Chilton and Elder Lea Chilton.

Joey is survived by his parents, Jeff and Angie Walker, brothers, Jack Walker, Grey Walker, and Reece Walker (Sierra), maternal grandmother, Sandy Southern, and maternal grandfather, David Wyrick; nephews, Anderson Clay “AC” Walker and Tucker Stone Walker, aunt, Denise Judson (Dustin), uncles, Robert Clay Walker, Jr. (Janice) and Steve Ray Walker in addition to numerous cousins and other extended family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Reidsville Outreach Center, where Joey volunteered, at P.O. Box 773 Reidsville, NC 27320.
