John Artie

Reidsville – John Artie “Tom” Chilton, Jr., 82 of 115 N. Washington Ave, died, Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at his home. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, March 18, 2011 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens with Pastor Jeff McCann officiating. Mr. Chilton was born on April 26, 1928 to the late John Artie Chilton, Sr. and Annie Finney Chilton. Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his daughter, Patsy Chatam; son, Donnie Chilton; brothers, B. Frank, John Acie “Dottie”, George and Fletcher S. Chilton and special friend, Connie Chilton. He is survived by daughters, Tonya Hailey and husband Tommy and her sister, Chasity Scott and husband, Tripp and Linda Cain and husband, Bobby; grandchildren, Mckenzie, Pete, Brandon, Hailey, Joey, Matthew and Lynn; brother, Colonel Chilton and sister, Delcie Easter. There will not be a formal visitation.
