John Otha Brown

Reidsville – Mr. John Otha Brown passed away on Monday, November 17, 2014 at his home. Mr. Brown was born May 30th, 1937 to the late Otha Madison and Lucy Durham Brown. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 18 years, Nettie Wilson Brown and his first wife, Betty Lou Brown. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Ron Tuck officiating. Burial will follow at Reidlawn Cemetery. John was employed by Ken’s Carpet for many years and was a member of Lawsonville Road Baptist Church. Hobbies included watching NASCAR races, camping, and spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his son, John Richard Brown of Ruffin and stepson, Dwight Ellison Wilson of Reidsville; grandchildren: Steven Richard Brown, Tabitha Diane Garrett (Will), and Joshua Ellison Wilson; and great grandchildren: Lizzy Yeatts, Brianna Brown, Avery Brown, Hayden Garrett, and William Garrett. The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and at other times at the residence.
