John Carlysle Dancy

John Carlysle Dancy, 76, of 301 Whip-o-Will Way, passed away Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at Annie Penn Hospital. A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Friday, May 28, 2021 at Reidlawn Cemetery with Mr. Shannon Newsome officiating. In consideration of the family, please follow CDC guidelines remembering social distancing and wearing a mask if you are not vaccinated. John was born in Rockingham County to the late Carl Dancy and Virginia Dancy Cain. He worked all his life in furniture sales with various companies in North Carolina. He and Jane attended Reidsville Christian Church later in life. John loved to golf and fish. Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife Jane Marlow Dancy, and daughter Angela Dancy Knutson. John is survived by his son John Dancy II; grandchildren Matthew Dancy, Makayla Dancy, and Nicholas Knutson; and extended family.
