John Wesley Dunlap

Reidsville – John Wesley Dunlap, Sr., 78, of 903 Montgomery Street, died on Friday, January 15, 2010, at his residence.Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 18, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home, with Rev. Ralph Clayton and Rev. David Surrett officiating. Pallbearers will be Curt Denny, Zack Denny, Todd Hodges, Todd Thorpe, Randy Keaton and Henry Richardson. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Smith and Raymond Pennell. Interment will follow at Greenview Cemetery.Mr. Dunlap was born in Rockingham County to the late Ed Dunlap and Nettie Thacker Dunlap. He was a member of Covington Wesleyan Church and retired from Zarn, Inc. with thirty six years of service. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean Barrow Dunlap and two brothers.He is survived by his sons, John “Johnny” Dunlap, Jr. and fiancée, Marilyn Louise Pritchett of LaGrange, GA and Larry Dunlap of Reidsville; daughter, Debbie Harvey of Reidsville; grandchildren, Todd Thorpe and wife, Shannon, Tabitha Denny and husband, Curt, Lance Dunlap and Laken Dunlap; four great-grandchildren; sister Myrtle Boone and husband, Tommy; and special walking friends at Pennrose Mall.The family will see friends on Sunday, January 17 from 6:30 to 8:30 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at the residence.Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Rockingham County, PO Box 281, Wentworth, NC 27375,
