John Aubry Fargis

Reidsville: John Aubry Fargis, 79, of Highgrove Longterm Care, passed away Monday, May 4, 2009. A memorial service will be held at 5:00 PM, Saturday, May 9, 2009 at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Henry Lester officiating. Mr. Fargis was born in Rockingham County to the late John Obra Fargis and Lillie Pettigrew Church and had been a construction worker for many years. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by wife, Ethel Kennon Fargis; stepdaughters, Sharon Reales and Linda King; step great granddaughter, Brittinie Decarlo. Survivors include sons, John Ronald Fargis and wife, Tracey, John Michael Fargis; daughter, Priscilla Belcher and husband, Robert; stepsons, Eddie Singleton and wife, Carolyn, Arnold Jackson Bailey; one grandson; eight step grandchildren; ten step great grandchildren; brother, Frank Fargis. The family will see friends after the service and other times at the home of John Fargis, 6 Circle Drive, Reidsville.
