John M. Medley

Reidsville: John M. Medley, 80 of 750 Strawberry Road, passed away after short illness on Tuesday, April 05, 2016 at Penn Nursing Center. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, April 7, 2016 in Evergreen Memory Gardens with Rev. Patricia Wright officiating. John was born in Reidsville to the late Julius W. and Ida Rigney Medley. He was a Graduate of Reidsville High School and was on the 1954 State Championship Football Team. He was a US Army Veteran and retired from Berico Oil Company. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Robert J. Medley; brother, Julius W. Medley. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Lena Brame Medley; daughter, Reida Lyn Medley, of the home. The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 6th from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. Other times the family will be at the residence.
