John William Newnam

Summerfield: John “Johnny” William Newnam, 66, of 6955 Summerfield Road, went home to be with his heavenly father on October 20, 2015. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, October 30, 2015 at Ridge-View Cemetery with Brother Robby Powell officiating. Military honors will be performed by the Randolph County Honor Guard. Johnny was born in Leaksville, NC to the late David Elex and Irvine Patterson Newnam. He was a veteran of the US Army serving during Vietnam and worked for Dillon Supply Company in Greensboro for many years and later starting his own business. He enjoyed spending time in the mountains, bluegrass music and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Peggy Harris. He is survived by his daughter, Cathy Fuller and husband, Brian of Prince George, VA; grandson, Matthew Stone and wife, Victoria of Reidsville; brother, Daniel Newnam and wife, Judy of Wilson, NC; sister, Patsy Bradshaw and husband, Arnold of Reidsville.
