John Roy Norman, III

John Roy Norman, III, 78, of Reidsville passed away Monday, October 21, 2024, at Moses Cone Hospital. 

Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, November 2, 2024, at Greenview Cemetery with Pastor Ronnie Jones officiating. As we remember John we will also recognize and honor his wife Brenda Pinnix Norman, Jan. 15, 1947, ~ Dec. 22, 2017, and his daughter Kassy Norman Royals, Nov. 8, 1971, ~ Feb. 10, 2017. Following the service John, Brenda and Kassy will all be laid to rest together.

John was born in Rockingham County to the late John R. Norman, Jr and Helen Cross Norman. He was in the automotive industry initially, and later was the co-owner and operator of Norman Enterprises (real estate investments), along with his late wife, Brenda. He was a member of the Wolf Island Primitive Baptist Church, where he was saved in 2003. John was an avid gun collector, refinishing stocks, making and reloading his own ammunition, and target shooting were all a part of his passion, he learned from his father. He was also a fisherman, enjoying both saltwater fishing and primarily bass fishing.

Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Pinnix Norman, and his daughter, Kassy Norman Royals.

John is survived by his daughter Anja Shreve-Vargas and husband Fred; grandchildren Justin Shreve and Morgan, Brandon Shreve, and Cross Royals; great grandson Elliot Shreve; sister Denise Biely and husband George and extended family.
