Johnny Lawrence Gwynn, 79, of Caswell County, went home to be with his Lord, wife, daughter, and grandson on January 15, 2021. He was surrounded by his loving family.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Loftis officiating. The family will be at the funeral home starting at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at Kerr’s Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.
Johnny “ Paw Paw” was born in Caswell County to the late John Woodrow Gwynn and Nettie Stanley Gwynn. He retired from AAA Sign Company after a long and faithful career. He was a longtime member of Kerr’s Chapel Baptist Church. He was a farmer and worked the land most of his life, devoting most of his time and energy to his grandchildren.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Mildred Sue Gwynn; daughter, Anita Hogan and grandson, Collin Gwynn as well as several siblings.
Johnny is survived by his children, Terry and Joyce Gwynn, Sandra G. King and Ernie Farley and John Gwynn; grandchildren, Crystal Hogan, Bryant and Regina Hogan, Justin and Heather Gwynn, Philip Gwynn, Hannah Gwynn, Will King, Melissa and Josh Lee, Jonathan Gwynn, Jenna Gwynn along with 8 great grandchildren and a large extended family.
