Joseph Collins Echols

Reidsville: Joseph Collins Echols, 76, of 405 NW Market Street, passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2017, at his home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, April 1, 2017, at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ron Tuck and Rev. Garfield Doss officiating. Interment will follow in Greenview Cemetery. Joseph was born in Rockingham County to the late Jack and Ruth Collins Echols. He was a member of Lawsonville Road Baptist Church and along with his parents he was precedcd in death by a sister, Carolyn Echols. Survivors are his wife of 57 years, Ruby Wilson Echols; daughter, Cheryl Echols Chance and Dean Webb; son, Joseph Timothy Echols and wife, Penny; grandchildren, Michelle Echols and Jordan Smith, Dylan Chance and Scott Echols; great granddaughter, Celeste Savage, sisters, Sandra Manley and husband, Benny and Hazel Wilson and husband, the late Hal Wilson; brothers, David Echols and wife, Dolly, Donnie Echols and Jimmy Echols and wife, Jennifer; adopted daughter, Caroline Harrison and several nieces and nephews. The family will recieve friends from 6-8 P.M. on Friday, March 31, 2017, at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at the home.
