Joseph Ervan "Joey" Arrington

Elon: Joseph Ervan “Joey” Arrington, 58, of 2722 Midway Church Road, went home to be with The Lord on Monday, October 12, at Moses Cone Hospital. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Thursday, October 15 at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul Speagle and Rev. Harold Thompson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at Lorene Land’s home (936 Grooms Road). The burial will follow in Reidlawn Cemetery. Joey was born in Guilford County and lived most of his life in Elon. He was a longtime and faithful member of Evangelical Methodist Church of Gibsonville. Joey was especially gifted with memory, numbers and names. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Claytus and Gracie Earles; special aunt, Mary Dora Earles; and special uncles, Douglas Land and Claytus Earles, Jr. Joey is survived by his mother, Mary Earles Arrington of the home; special aunts, Shelby Paschal and husband, Rogers, Lorene Land and Katherine Earles all of Reidsville; special uncle, Ralph Earles of Louisiana; extended family and a very special friend, Ann Cole Gailey of Greensboro.
