Joseph "Joe" Vincent Cuozzi

Joseph “Joe” Vincent Cuozzi, 76, passed away to be with our Lord on August 6, 2020, at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday August 8, 2020, at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Reverend Eric Lineberry officiating. Due to Covid-19, there will not be a public viewing. Joseph was born on July 25, 1944 to the late Vito and Connie Cuozzi in Bronx, New York. He was a lifelong public servant holding the position of Police Detective for the town of Yorktown, NY for 21 years and volunteer Fire Fighter in the same town. Joe was an avid hunter, fisherman, sportsman, and a New York Daily News Golden Gloves Boxing Finalist. He was very proud to be the father of two and a grandfather of five. He will be missed by all who knew him. Joe is survived by his sons, Joseph Cuozzi and wife Lisa of Yorktown, Michael Cuozzi and fiancé Dana of Yorktown; wife, Vicki Cuozzi of Ruffin; daughter, Jessica Cuebas and husband Carlos of Ocala FL; grandchildren, Nicholas Cuozzi, Vincent Cuozzi, Hailey Cuozzi, Makayla Mercado, and Marijane Noel Bowman. Proud uncle to Lisa Cuozzi, Ricky Cuozzi, Tommy Cuozzi, and Dana Cuozzi. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Cuozzi of High Point, NC. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his honor to Mt. Carmel UMC Youth Program, 361 Mt. Carmel Church Road, Reidsville, NC 27320.
