Joseph Donald Paschal

Reidsville: Joseph Donald Paschal, Sr. of 512 Barnes Street, passed away on November 14, 2014 at Rockingham County Hospice Home following a brief battle with brain cancer. Joe was a life-long resident of Rockingham County. He was retired from Annie Penn Hospital and later worked at the Uptown Antique Shop where he lovingly repaired and refinished furniture. In addition to his parents, Harvey Harrison and Mattie Huskey Paschal, he was preceded in death by seven brothers and three sisters. Funeral services will be held 4:00 PM Sunday, November 16, 2014 at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Stewart officiating. Interment will follow at Reidlawn Cemetery. He is survived by his wife of sixty-three years, Maggie Coleman Paschal of the home and daughters, Wanda Smith, Melody Brim (Roy Turley), Margaret Rakestraw (Scott), Melissa Campbell (Stan), Bambi Harrelson (Jeff Dyer); son, Joseph Donald (Donnie) Paschal, Jr.; two sisters, Irene Shelton and Nellie Mansfield, all of Reidsville. Joe was Papa to sixteen grandkids, seventeen great-grandkids and four great-great-grandkids. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00 PM on Sunday, November 16, 2014 at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at his residence. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Rockingham County, P.
