Joyce Ann Rittenhouse Fisher

Brown Summit– Joyce Ann Rittenhouse Fisher, 62, of 480 Gilrock Lane, died Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, January 2, 2009 at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Kenny Godair officiating. Interment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park in Burlington. Mrs. Fisher was born in Muncie, Indiana to the late James E. and Betty Prader Rittenhouse. She was an assistant school teacher in Muncie for 3 years and was an over the road trucker for the past 5 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, James Wayne Vester. She is survived by her husband, Harry Vernon Fisher, of the residence; sons, Bobby Fisher of Florida and Richard Fisher of Eden; daughters, Elizabeth Frederick of Burlington, Tina Mellor of Raleigh, Lori Porter of Burlington and Jamie Fisher of Mebane; 17 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and brother, James “Butch” R. Rittenhouse of Muncie, In. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
