Although we loved her dearly, we could not make her stay. A golden heart stopped beating; hardworking hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best. -arthur unknown A Tribute to Joyce: This world lost a wonderful woman on Saturday, Jan 19, 2013 - and most definitely the best mother-in-law I could have ever been blessed with - Joyce Witherspoon Craddock. All who knew her loved her, and wanted to sit next to her. She was quick to flash you a smile, burst into laughter, tell a joke, and make you feel like the most important person to her. Her love language was doing for others, by way of cooking, cleaning, being the ultimate BOSS LADY, and making sure everyone else was taken care of. Her heart was full of love and laughter, and she truly lived every single moment as it was her last. She was always the life the party, and just being around her lightened your gloomiest mood. She was fiesty, a fighter until her final days, and although she was a tiny lady - she had the grit and determination of the biggest man. Her soul was pure, beautiful and irreplaceable. She was a mother to me, and not many can say that about in-laws. She loved my family, and took them as her own, and they too, feel the loss as I. She was a friend, someone to share a glass of wine with, a secret, or hit the best sales with. I am so very thankful for the 10 years I was blessed to have her in my life, and for the wonderful man she and Jeff gave me as a husband, their baby boy John Craddock. She was passionate about her family, and I will do my very best to continue that legacy in my own. Joyce was strong on her convictions, and was never afraid to speak up for what she believed. She will never know how much I loved her, or how she will be missed. I can still hear her laughter, her mannerisms, and life language. I hope I never loose those memories - and I can tell you - I can only imagine the party upstairs going on right now as she reunited with her sister and brothers. PS - God - if you are wondering where the raucous is coming from in heaven - it's Joyce :). Rest in peace Mama - we love you and miss you always! - Kristy Ruppe Craddock
