Ruffin - Juanita Young Evans, of 1030 Perkinson Road, died on Tuesday, May 8, 2012, at Moses Cone Hospital..Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 12, 2012, at 3:00 P.M at Guerrant Springs Baptist Church with Pastor Robby Powell and Pastor Bruce McBride officiating. The burial will follow in Happy Home Congregational Christian Church Cemetery. Mrs. Evans was born in Rockingham County to the late Alex and Elsie Dix Young. She was a homemaker and a member of Guerrant Springs Baptist Church, a loving Mother and Nannie. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Evans and mother-in-law, Clara Virginia Evans.Juanita is survived by her daughters, Wetona Billings, Romona Harbour and Lisa Evans and friend, Kerry Jones; grandchildren, Michelle Billings, Brian Harbour, Ashley Billings and fiancé, Quincey Glenn, Sydney Evans and Jerry Wayne Harbour; sisters, Helen Gilley and Betty Eggleston; special friends, Neil Burnette and Faye Brande; special cousins, Lewis Overby and Fred Overby and numerous others.The family will receive friends Friday, May 11, 2012, at Wilkerson Funeral Home from 6:00 - 8:00 PM and other times at the residence.
