Juanita Cook Myrick

Reidsville: Juanita Cook Myrick, 92, joined her husband Dennis Myrick in heaven on Sunday, March 13, 2011. She was a resident of Avante of Reidsville.Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, March16, 2011 at Covington Wesleyan Church with Rev. Ralph Clayton and Rev. David Surrett officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memory Gardens. Mrs. Myrick was born in Guilford County on March 22, 1918 to the late Walter Pinkney Cook and Lottie Lee Loftis Reece. She was a life long member of Covington Wesleyan Church and served on the church board for many years. She was a loving mother, a wonderful cook and a true follower of God. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Myrick; son, Darrell Myrick and an infant son Thurman Myrick; grandson, Randall Craig Myrick; great granddaughter, Lindsey Hudson; brother, Fredrick Cook; half brothers, Daniel, Paul and Cecil Reece. Survivors include her son, Leon Myrick and wife, Doris; daughter, Pat McGee and husband, Alfred; daughter-in-law, Doris Walker Myrick; grandchildren, Joey Myrick and wife, Susan, Sharon Loftis and husband, Mark, Keith Myrick, Donna Copeland and husband, Mike, Bronson McGee, Kurt McGee; great grandchildren, Jordan Hudson, Courtney Myrick, Adam Myrick, Tanner Myrick, Cole’t Wagner, Hanna Copeland, Mary Grace Copeland, Mason Wagner; great great granddaughter, Kandyce Hudson; half sister, Willie Ford.The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at Covington Wesleyan Church and other times at Leon’s home, 3051 NC 14.
