Juanita Strader Sparks

Juanita Strader Sparks “Billie” peacefully went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at home with family. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, January 20, 2019 at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church with Rev. Eric Lineberry and Rev. Andy Lambert officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Billie was a daughter of the late Herman Strader “Honeychild” and Annie Alcorn Strader. She was lifelong resident of the Oregon Hill community and a member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church and a retiree of Sears with 35 years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ira Thomas “Pete” Sparks in 1973 and remained a faithful and loving daughter-in-law until their deaths. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 1 sister. She was a loving, strong and independent woman focusing on her family’s needs and always keeping them first. She enjoyed her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and loved attending Baseball games, dance recitals and always quick to remember special dates and events. She is survived by her children, Pam Denny (Herb), Tommy Sparks (Susan), Cheryl French (Ricky); grandchildren, Pete Denny (Tammy), Wes Denny (Angie), Josh Denny (Tanya), Micah Denny (Destinie), Heather Tripp (Arron), Ben Sparks (Brittney), Sam Sparks, Lori Miller (Kevin), Michelle French, Kevin French (Heather); 12 great grandchildren and one arriving in May; brother, Bryant “Punkin” Strader (Sarah). The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 19th from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at the residence. Memorial contributions may be made to Mt.
