Judy Stallings Apple

Reidsville – Judy Stallings Apple, 62, of 1205 Morgan Drive, died Saturday, July 24, 2010 at Rockingham County Hospice Home. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at Woodmont United Methodist Church with Rev. Carl Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Reidlawn Cemetery. Judy was born in Reidsville, NC and was a daughter of the late Robert Jackson and Ruth Johnson Stallings. She graduated from Rockingham Community College and received her B.S. in Dental Hygiene from UNC Chapel Hill. She was a dental hygienist for over 30 years and was the owner-operator of Reidsville Commercial Warehouse. She was an active member of Woodmont United Methodist Church, serving on numerous committees over the years. She was a member of the Reidsville Woman’s Club, a sustaining member and past president of the Reidsville Junior Service League, a member of the RCC Foundation Board and a past member of the Annie Penn Hospital Foundation Board. She was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Apple, Jr. She is survived by her son, Josh Apple and wife, Brianna of Cary, NC; sister, Barbara Barefoot and husband, Larry of Reidsville; father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Virginia Apple; sister-in-law, Jan Apple Johnson and husband, Jeff of Reidsville; Niece and nephews, Joanna Johnson, Wesley Johnson, Jay Barefoot and wife, Holly; great niece, Lula Barefoot; beloved dogs, Dutch and Pepper. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 26, 2010 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Woodmont United Methodist Church. Other times the family will be at the residence.
