Judy Warren Miller

Judy Warren Miller, 71, of Reidsville, passed peacefully away at Moses Cone Hospital surrounded by her Beloved sons, Harrison Miller of Taipei, Taiwan, Steven Miller of Kissimmee, FL and their father, Mitch Miller also of Kissimmee, FL.

Judy is the daughter of Leona Knowles Warren and the late Yancey William Warren. Although diagnosed with cancer, she never gave up hope, and fought the battle with extreme dignity, grace and strength.

She continued to find the joy all around her and kept her effervescent sense of humor which the staff and loved ones around her took pleasure. Judy loved getting her hands in the dirt, and expressing her creativity by constructing a beautiful garden landscape at her home, surrounded by trees. By her own hands she constructed a place where she could find peace surrounded by her own little patch of nature.

She loved the Season of Yule and having friends and family to share it with her when they could. A woman of many interests and talents, she earned a degree in Multimedia Technology and has held various positions in Chicago, New York, Richmond, VA.

She also worked for The Reidsville Review where she fought hard to save Reidsville’s old railroad station, and Publisher, Ad Designer of About Town, a local Reidsville, NC bi-monthly magazine.

She is survived by her sons; her sisters, Jackie Warren and Gipsie Warren Hixson; brother-in-law, Dr. Mark Hixson; many beloved nieces and nephews; and 1st cousins, Sharon Lovelace, Delores Somers, Faye Burris, Karen Royster and Andrew Tolley. Greatly missed, she will live on now and forever in our hearts and memories as unique, talented, and wonderful woman, and by her sons as the greatest of mothers.
