Judy Lookabill Montgomery

Judy Wayne Lookabill Montgomery, 81, of Reidsville, while surrounded by her family, peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, March 19, 2025.

Judy was born in Rockingham County on August 19, 1943, to the late John Wilbur Lookabill and Nellie Mae Smith Lookabill. She was a lifelong resident of Reidsville and graduated from Reidsville High School. She was a dedicated wife, mother, and homemaker and completely devoted her life to her family. She enjoyed reading her bible, watching her shows, word search puzzles, trips to the beach, and searching for the perfect card to send loved ones. Above all, her greatest joy was family gatherings.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Elliott Montgomery, Sr.; sister, Emma Jean Talley; brothers, Reuben and Emory Ware.

She is survived by her children, John Wayne Parrish and wife, Gretchen, James “Jimmy” Montgomery and wife, Christy, Joey Montgomery and wife, Tina, Janet M. Lamberth and husband, David; grandchildren, Caleb Parrish and wife, Tayte, Daniel Parrish, and Preston Montgomery; brother, Johnny Lookabill; sister, Linda Rippy and husband, Allen; special friend, David Rogers; numerous special nieces and nephews. Those left to cherish her memory will remember her sweet, beautiful soul and the love and compassion she shared with her family.

The family will receive friends at the home of Joey and Tina Montgomery, 510 Eugene Street, Reidsville. There will be a private graveside service to celebrate her life.
