Judy Perkins Stone

Reidsville: Judy Perkins Stone, 61, of 1611 Wolf Island Road, passed away on Friday, February 12, 2010 at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Monday, February 15, 2010 at Freedom Baptist Church with Pastor Ronnie Warner officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Stone was a native of Rockingham County and the daughter of the late Gleen and Lorene Funderburk Perkins. She was a homemaker and a faithful member of Freedom Baptist Church. She was the pianist for the church and former secretary of the Sunday school department. She was also a member of the Ladies Christian Fellowship. Judy was a member of the Wolf Island Club and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Oregon Hill Volunteer Fire Department. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She is survived by her husband, Joel Stone of the home; her daughters, Amy Stone and Darena Brown and husband, Scott all of Reidsville; her grandchildren, Dylan Deven Brown; her brother, Danny Perkins of Orlando, FL; and special aunt, Estelle Sartin of Burlington. The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Sunday, February 14th from 7:00 - 9:00 PM and other times the family will be at the residence. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Freedom Baptist Church, 471 Stone Road, Reidsville, NC 27320.
