Julia Ann Talley Stewart

Reidsville: Julia Ann Talley Stewart, 92, of 1202 Linville Drive, went to be with her Savior on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at Avante of Reidsville. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, May 1, 2015 at Wilkerson Funeral Home with the family receiving friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Reidlawn Cemetery. Julia was born in Rockingham County to the late Robert Lee Talley, Sr. and Sallie Reid Talley. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church and was voted Mother of the Year by the Reidsville Lions Club. She inspired countless people throughout her life with her faith, strength, courage and humble spirit. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilmer B. Stewart, Sr.; sisters, Helen Gardner, Eloise Rudd and Audrey Wilson; brother, Robert Talley, Jr. She is survived by her children, Bernie Stewart and wife, Margaret of Durham, Sally Stewart Carter , Beatrice Washburn and husband, David of Reidsville, Julia Ann Thomas and husband, Jeff of Mooresville; 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; close friend and sister-in-law, Lucille Anderson.
