Julie Shue Knight

Julie Shue Knight, 56, of Knight Road went home to be with The Lord Saturday, April 5, 2025, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at Noon, Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Mt Bethel Covenant Church in Summerfield, with Pastor Olaf Van De Klashorst officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church and the burial will follow at Hillsdale Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

Julie was a long-time resident of Rockingham County and was the founder of Knight Container Service. She was a faithful member of Mt Bethel Covenant Church, where she served as the Children’s Ministry Director. She was also very involved with Missions and outreach. Julie was concerned about others and always lived with a servant spirit. She was a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, and Nana. Julie was preceded in death by first husband, Charles Kenneth Knight; her father, Paul Hubert Shue; brothers, Ricky Shue and Perry Shue.

Julie is survived by her husband, Barry Byrd; sons, Josh Knight and wife, Diana and Robert Knight and wife, Tori; step children, Grayson Byrd and McKenzie Bevis and husband, Brandon; grandchildren, Alexia Knight, Gavin Knight, and Bristol Bevis; mother, Margaret Shue; sister, Paula Hutcheson and husband, Hutch; brothers, Lynn Shue and wife, Patty, Mitchell Shue and wife, Cindy, Norman Shue and wife, Deanna, and Douglas Shue and wife, Michelle; and a large extended family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Mt Bethel Covenant Church, Children’s Ministries, 8130 NC Hwy 65, Summerfield, NC 27358.
