Julius Roger Baity

Julius Roger Baity, 81, of Reidsville, passed away on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at the Rockingham County Hospice Home. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Ruffin United Methodist Church with Rev. Lee Eggers officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Roger was born in Guilford County to the late Julius Caesar Baity and Mabel Hughes Baity. He served his country proudly in the US Army and was a member at Ruffin United Methodist Church. Roger had been of resident of Brookdale of Reidsville for three years. He was predeceased by a brother, David Joseph Baity. He previously was the co-owner and operator of Thrifty Food Center and Stacey Lumber Company and was the manager of the Reidsville Moose Lodge for 16 years. He is survived by his brother, Raymond Baity and wife, Jane of Lexington. Also surviving are three nephews, Erik Baity of High Point, Reginald Beatty, and his wife, Dottie Davis, of Hillsborough, and Glen Baity, and his wife, Chase, of Chapel Hill, and a great nephew, Thomas Julian Baity.
