Rev. Julius Monroe Bradshaw, age 88, of Reidsville, North Carolina went to his Heavenly home on February 6, 2019. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 9th, 2:00 pm at Ruffin Stacy Baptist Church at 261 Estes Rd, Ruffin, NC 27326. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military graveside rites. The family will greet relatives and friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home, 1909 Richardson Dr. Reidsville, NC on Friday, February 8th from 6-8 PM other times at the home. At the age of 22, he answered the call of God to preach the gospel. Following a couple of years in the military, he entered Tennessee Temple University, Chattanooga, TN. After four years, he graduated, returned to North Carolina, and became pastor of Ruffin-Stacey Baptist Church, Ruffin, NC in 1952. His ministry included the following Churches: Sale Creek Baptist, Chattanooga, TN, Ruffin Stacey Baptist, Ruffin, NC, First Baptist Church of Efland, Efland, NC, Lankford Memorial Baptist Greensboro, NC, Living Hope Baptist, Clarksville, TN, New Testament Baptist, Nassau, Bahamas, Temple Baptist, Martinsville, VA, Lakewood Baptist, Belews Creek, NC, and Brown Mountain Baptist, Westfield, NC. Brown Mountain was his last pastorate due to his hearing loss. While in Greensboro he founded the Greensboro Bible Institute, which continues today. His ministry included mission work all over the world. He was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Beulah (Terrell) Bradshaw. He was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers, Mary Richards, Marvin (Magdalene, deceased), Junior, Dorothy Smith, Annie Lou Hutchins (Claude, deceased), and Jesse. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Lorene (Hutchens) Bradshaw; son, Stephen Bradshaw and wife Cindy of Reidsville, NC, son Timothy Bradshaw and wife Fredia of Greensboro, NC, daughter, Julia Tatum and husband Tyres of Mayodan, NC, and son, Jonathan Bradshaw and wife Ginger of Dalzell, SC; twelve grandchildren, Greg Childress, Candie Edwards, Cody Bradshaw (Caitlin), Loren Tatum, Erin Philogene (Joe), Chanda Bradshaw, Tyres Tatum II (Hannah), Ian Tatum, Jala Williams (Bryce), Jeneá, Josiah, and Jeshua Bradshaw; seven great grandchildren; he is also survived by two sisters and a brother, Betty Schneider (Bernard), Ida Murphy (Bill, deceased), Clyde (Marcelle, deceased); and many beloved nieces and nephews.
