Katherine Knight Cobb

Reidsville, NC – Katherine K. Cobb, 90, of Reidsville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, June 22, 2008. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, June 27, 2008 at First Congregational Christian Church with Reverend Daniel W. Jones, Jr. officiating.   Interment will follow in Evergreen Memory Gardens. She was the youngest of 11 children and was from the Bethany area.   Her parents were the Rev. John and Margaret Knight.   Along with her parents, brothers and sisters, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Hugh Cobb, Sr.   She is survived by her children: Gail Hall of Florida, Hugh Cobb, Jr. of Reidsville, NC, Dianne Land of Reidsville, NC.   Also surviving her, are 9 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren .   Shee was a member of First Congregational Christian Church of Reidsville for much of her life, and she enjoyed teaching Sunday School and touched many lives for 40+ years.   She was a beloved mother, grandmother and friend, and though her family is thankful that she was blessed with a long life here, she will be dearly missed.   The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Thursday, June 26th from 7:00 – 9:00 PM.   Other times the family will be at the home of Hugh and Judy Cobb, 1309 Ridgewood Avenue, Reidsville.   In lieu of flowers charitable contributions may be made to First Congregational Christian Church, 1863 South Park Drive, Reidsville, NC 27320.
